Every year I make more or less the same resolution.
Either: A) to not have a new years resolution so that I won't be disappointed in myself when I break it (which is ironic given that I just broke my resolution of not having a resolution,) or B) to write more.
As can be seen by my whopping 12 blog posts in all of 2013, writing more obviously didn't happen last year. This year I decided to have a goal of writing a 1-2 sentence story about my day in a journal every night, so that I'm not faced with the task of recounting the entire days events, but I still write something.
I'm proud to say that I've actually been keeping up with that goal, and I've discovered it's a lot easier to write just for myself, when I don't have to worry about whether my writing is worthy of publishing.
One of my favorite things about this blog though is getting your feedback. Good or bad, agree or disagree, I like to know what you think about my writing.
Everything on here may be about my life or my opinions, but you're the ones who read it. So this year I want to try something new. Because you're the ones who read this blog, and because the main reason I don't post as often as I should is because I can never think of what to write about (see the post "why I write when I write" from June), I want YOU to give me your ideas. Share your thoughts on what you want to see me post, what topics you think I should write about, what you want to hear my opinion on. Hopefully this will help me get motivated to write more often and give me something to write about.
I want to recreate this blog this year and actually use it, instead of having it just be something people look at every few months when I post the link on Facebook again. So you may have noticed the new background, the new design and even the new name (the url is still the same though,) and hopefully soon there will actually be new posts.

P.S. if you're wondering about the new name, it's a line from one of my favorite country songs. Country music always puts me in a good mood, so does writing, and I wanted the new title to be reflective of me. I've always loved that line and I would like to think that heaven with a wild side could describe me. Check out the song if you don't totally despise country.
